Daybeauty.com haul & Day off!

Enjoying a day off of work today before a 6-day stretch...

Sometimes it's hard to decide whether to dress up or just be comfy on 'off' days -- today I went for comfort! Just an old pair of soft lounge pants & my favorite Peanuts t-shirt from Urban Outfitters! (my sister nabbed it for me for only $5 since she knows I love Snoopy!)


hmmm...time for spring cleaning... :(

There is nothing better than lounging around w/ Darren, cooking up a big bubbling bowl of Beef Golden Curry, and watching the Olympics/playing videogames all day long. *happy sigh* Escaping the working world feels so good!

When I returned home, got a package in the mail from Daybeauty.com! Such speedy delivery -- it was here about exactly a week from ordering!

They were even kind enough to share a free sample of anti-wrinkle emulsion! I will have to see how to use it with the aid of a Korean friend :)

I am having a pretty good Valentines Day weekend so far...No more snow, but still cold so just a big cozy sweater and skinny jeans today:

I braved The Galleria Mall here in Dallas yesterday to see if I could spot any celebrities thanks to the "All Star Weekend" Game in town. I wasn't able to spot any stars but MAN there were A TON of people at the mall. Maybe everyone had the same idea?

I liked how they put up tons of pink, red, and white balloons to celebrate Valentines Day! You can see the 3 levels of shopping insanity and the ice rink on the bottom floor complete with pink & red lights in heart shapes!

After checking out a few stores, we decided to pop into Hot Topic to check out the cool gamer t-shirts.

I saw this t-shirt and LOLed - it's kind of rude!



I never knew how much Hello Kitty stuff Hot Topic sells! It's not just any Hello Kitty stuff -- it's unique and exclusive stuff! For example, they seem to stock a TON of Hello Kitty NERD items, which I love:

Darren tends to be a little claustrophobic so we did a little light shopping before bolting home.

Oh! And btw, if you are ever looking for an AWESOME BLUSH, check out NARS in Deep Throat. If the name doesn't make you blush, at least the product will haha. I like it much more than Orgasm, much more pigment and less crazy glitter everywhere.

As for the real Valentines Day, Darren and I have a deal -- no crazy expensive jewelry or even flowers this time around -- we're both trying to pay off BIG student loans from school so we're taking it easy with gift exchange -- well -- kind of. I splurged on his gift this year because I was a horrible girlfriend and didn't get him a birthday OR Christmas present this year. For some reason, Valentines Day has always been my "makeup" day. :(

So for the rest of the night, we played with his new toy! A Wii + Zelda Twilight Princess. We may be 4 years late on the bandwagon, but 3 hours of gameplay feels like nothing! I love RPGs. :) For all the Wii fans, the Official Nintendo Wii-mote + MotionPlus comes out in limited edition PINK today!

GO RED Day, randomness, and procrastination before work

I still don't know what to think about my short(er) hair. It's so much lighter and it doesn't get all horrible and tangly like it did when it was longer...but I miss those extra 3 inches! My hair texture is super fine and gets tangled in giant knots and is tinged with random gray, but I still ♥ it. I just miss my hot mess longish hair...made me feel sexier. ;_;

My hair looks better today than it did yesterday -- I love the long layers and side-bangs!

With Flash -- Aaah, super thick glasses, I'm so blind -_-

Contrary to what Ms. Sharlene thinks, my skin is far from perfect! I don't wear foundation to work, just very basic -- eyeliner, brows, & lip gloss and I'm out the door! (~5 minutes) You can see I have redness on my cheeks and pores-o-plenty. :P I think the Cellnique has been helping, I haven't broken out since starting it. My period--which should be starting any minute now--will be true testament to its powers, LOL!

I was supposed to wear Red in support of the Fight against Heart Disease. It really is the #1 health threat out there for women. Unfortunately, I don't own a single piece of red clothing, so I wore the closest to it...bright pink. I'll be more prepared next year. But seriously, if there is a woman in your life that you love and care about dearly, please talk to her about the importance of living a heart healthy lifestyle...it could save her life! (Or his life...even though this campaign is aimed at women, men are also very much at risk) If you yourself are over the age of 20 and haven't gotten your cholesterol levels drawn, please get checked ASAP! Prevention starts now for most if not all of us -- plus the better we feel inside, the more we can shine on the outside! :D

I am a huuuuuge Sonic the Hedgehog fan. I was a SEGA girl growing up and ever since the first Sonic the Hedgehog, I was hooked! I stopped after all the 3-D stuff came out, but they used to call me the Sonic "whiz" in elementary school...haha. Soooo excited that it's coming out for download on the Xbox now! (I don't have one, but the bf does)



Can't wait!

Big Dreams

Lately, I have been having bouts of late night internet-ing -- I really should be sleeping hours earlier, but my mind is full of ideas which make it impossible to just relax. I can't wait to throw myself into projects of all kinds, namely, those involving my favorite Christmas present from the previous year:




















Do I know how to use it? Yes. I've been teaching myself the basics so far. And when I say basics, I mean loading the bobbin and sewing in a straight line. ;_; It looks like a toy, but this particular sewing machine actually has claws!

Working this weekend so no time for fun yet, but SOON!!!

Gaaaaah!!! Love it. I wish my eyeballs didn't swell up like melons around kitties.
